Not sure of the value in the states, transfer between GP and airlines? Is the ratio 1:1? If so, this can provide excellent value. But I think the value is using the points towards GP rewards.

Anyone know what the ratio is to transfer to BA? I'm considering this airline to book FF flights in the future.
The information you seek is at http://www.goldpassport.com/gp/en/index.jsp at the convert points to miles tab (you need to be signed in to GP account). For most airlines is you're converting 50,000 points, you get 25,000 miles (2:1 ratio - lesser amounts ratio is 2.5:1).
