I am especially interested in what is required to maintain MM status. My recollection from when the program was launched was that a member just needed one paid flight on AC in a year to maintain MM status. I would like to see the terms to confirm or correct that. Anyone have the answer?
Don't know what the current terms are. Don't recall any requirement to maintain MM status. Which is fair, since AC doesn't seem to have any requirement to maintain benefits.
Don't bother going for MM. If you get there by accident, great. Otherwise fly whatever flights make the most sense (comfort/time/cost) and don't be a slave to a master who will abuse you year after year. As someone else pointed out, for 2014 the only benefit seems to be lounge access and priority lines and that can be purchased separately.
