Interesting you had to ask - I've had my Plat since before the changes too and obviously went from #1 gold to basic freebie gold plus but then got automatically upgraded without even getting any notification. That's why it came as a surprise when the Hertz rep told me I was Five Star and then I found that link.

So it would not appear that the car hire benefit has been upgraded to an elite tier once more and ostensibly a slightly better one than before - not a massive upgrade but it's something!
