12 (6 MR *2 times bonus)*365=4,360MR which is enough for a short haul Avios redemption. Plus you would be up around 22,000 optimum points which is enough for $30. I agree the redemption rate is slow but all the small purchases add up. Either way it's only 5 minutes out of the day so why not? But people value their time differently so this isn't for everyone
