I think xracer has a good point. I like a nice comfortable shady spot with a good view for lounging especially in the morning. Because a lot of the ocean pavilions at Amanoi are eastern facing and because with the dry climate there are no tall trees, you don't get as much of this as you do at other resorts.

On the other hand with a pool pavilion, I find I spend a lot more time in the pool reading, lounging or just looking out at the sea. Also with a nice beach and pools, I spent less time in the pavilion than I did at some other resorts.

I think Pavilion 17 or 18 might better suit xracer's needs. Also I'd be curious to see what Pavilion 32 and 33 are like, I didn't get a chance to take a look at these.
