EasyJet - do unassigned booked seats show up as unavailable on seating
Husband and I plan on flying from Amsterdam to Rome on EasyJet on January 2, 2014.
When I looked back in June, it was only 54 euros (should've booked!). It has steadily gone up to 108 euros and now at 121 euros.
I did a dummy booking and tried to select seats and see that all the seats are available.
So my question is: if people booked and choose not to pay to select seats, should their booking "occupy" a seat on the seating chart?
I am curious as to why the prices have more than doubled in price if no seats have been booked. Is January 2 generally a really popular day to fly in Europe?
Also, when I search on my browser (and I do delete the cookies), the rate is 121 euros right now but if I go through the EasyJet iPad app, the rate is 109 euros. The price to select seats and prepay for luggage is also lower.
Any feedback would be appreciated! Thanks!
