If OP's company has a corporate discount, it's now almost universal that his employer's contract with UA requires that bookings and non-IRROPS changes be made by the TA. These discounted tickets can lose their corporate discount if taken over by UA. So "take over" fee + change fee + fare diff.

Would strongly urge OP to speak with his employer's travel person first. Some employers care a lot, some could care less.
