Sadly I suspect it's only a matter of time until YQ charges come to all AA partner redemptions as well as other domestice programs. Unless perhaps DL leads the charge in switching to a fully revenue-based earn/burn program.
A fully revenue-based earn/burn program (that is pretty darn close to a cash-back program but limited to expenditures in the airline-restricted marketplace) would include paying for YQ/YR ... if it works out like Citi's TYPs.
