I tried looking for a flight from PVG (Shanghai) to JFK (New York), and the best value I could get was to fly though Incheon by booking two separate itineraries.

I am flying in on a Korean Air Y-fare ticket, then I'm flying out about 3 hours later on a United F-ticket.

So I have two questions:
1) If I'm forced to retrieve my checked bags in ICN and then recheck them into my next flight, how much time do I need and will I have time to visit the lounge?
2) As I'm departing on United, what lounge do I have access to? I know there is no UC.
