With the introduction of the HD variant AC really should have introduced seat blocking for SE and E75 along with their latest devaluations. The IT costs should be fairly minimal for such a change (you can do it Lise, I know you can) and it would lessened the blow for one level of status holders that were pretty severely impacted by these new changes. There would be some training required but those costs would be negligible.

With so many seats on those new beasts I would be surprised if they fill them up each time so this change would lessen the apprehension of flying on one of these behemoths. They could have restricted the benefit to only the two highest ranks to keep E75 as something special over E50 since all elite levels are saddled with the co-pays as well as providing SEs with a tangible benefit (one that seems to be one of the most asked for new benefits when lists are made).

Perhaps the IT backbone of AC is so antiquated that this would not be feasible but I would really hope that this option has been explored. The goodwill it would generate would be pretty big and at a fairly minimal cost.

I am not sure why I still want to see AC do well but for some reason I do. I have only had a relationship with AC since 2008 and we will be breaking up this year but I still wish you all the best.
