To confirm the above posting, I was once confirmed in J to MAD (several yrs ago) and the flight was downgraded to a 763 and my seat turned out to be the crew rest seat. So I was bumped and not a happy camper.

But thankfully AC gate crew came on board and removed another up/grade who was not a SE as I am a SE. I felt badly but rules are rules.

So equipment changes do happen and you will never know till you board the flight.
