Well, UA did an official "dehancement" enhancement, removing a particular promised entitlement, although adding the companion benefit to the package. (Although why they didn't settle that by offering a
choice of a companion
or upgrades, I don't know. Cheap and easy, no one goes away mad.)
But for AA, adding a new tier
while not subtracting from the benefits of a lower tier would not really be a "dehancement", particularly if the new tier were attainable with a level of MM.
