Why would they give you a break just because you don't like their new bird, if they've made the switch?
Hang-on though. AC gives me the choice of what route, flight and what a/c I want to fly on through their website, right down to the width of the seat and pitch. They give me the details, I pick my service. And by the way I'm not looking for "a break" I just want to be treated fairly, I know it's a lot to ask............
I can tell you I will ALWAYS avoid the 777HD no question. If AC do a switch then so will I. I believe that they would be obligated to allow me to change at no penalty, since they are now not offering me the service that I originally agreed to. In other words I can't be forced into a tiny seat if it's not what I agreed to in the first place.
If they don't want this problem in the future then they shouldn't provide info on the aircraft cabins, including seat widths and pitch, then I wouldn't be picking a specific service from the information that they themselves provide.
Then if they don't provide the information to allow me to pick the type of a/c and seat I get then I'll just fly with an airline that does..........
AC has decided to start bringing in a HD configuration, that's their prerogative - that doesn't mean we have to just bend over and take it like a Christmas turkey.
