And, btw, there is no fixed meaning of terms like "gold" and "platinum" from one airline to another. At one airline, "gold" might be the first level up, while at another airline, it might be the second level up (with "silver" being the first level).

So, if not talking airline specific, you should instead refere to "lowest elite level", "second lowest elite level", etc. While even those are not 100% the same, they're more similar than "gold" at one is to "gold" at another.
