The just announced Olympus OM-D EM-1 looks like a huge upgrade over even the EM-5. Mirrorless is definitely getting there, it's only a matter of time. I don't plan to have it replace my DSLR, but I do definitely expect to actually get a mirrorless camera. (For myself; my wife just recently got the Nikon 1 J3.)

Yes, but over time, the sensor will still get dirtier than that can handle. My 40D has shake cleaning and a mirror, and it still happens. And shooting on the beach or in a place like Antelope Canyons will make that happen more. I admit it's probably not something most people looking for a mirrorless camera have to worry about too much, though. Cameras these days also have dust detection so they can learn where on the sensor the dust is and adjust the images somehow to compensate.
