Ironically, although I was in the 53A, almost as close to the door as it's possible to get, I stayed behind and ended being the last one off.

Can you give any comments on seat 53A - I'm booked on it for LHRLAX next Nov, galley noise not an issue as it is a day flight...

Why would a solo flyer want this seat?

Plumped for 53AB for now, though will certainly check this thread for updates.
14E seems to be bassinet/cot seat. That's why a solo (with baby) might want that.
