FT Member ALC has graciously agreed to enter my AP # into Esso to capture a few points & therefore extending them. In the future I'll purchase something from the AP catalog. Thank you!
Amex MR point conversion constitutes as activity, and resets the 1 year clock.

When I mean swipe the AE card, I mean to swipe the actual Aeroplan Membership card that you receive in the mail from Aeroplan. This is the practice at Rexall which you may purchase $1 and receive 1 Aeroplan point.

You could just remember your membership number and have the store clerk enter the AE# manually onto the machine. One you've got your receipt, check over that the right AE# was credited to.

Glad you received some help.. although you're still a quite a few months from seeing your miles hit the one year dormant activity mark.

Of course this is working off memory that it's $3 per point at esso, and since I'm too lazy to look it up I'm trusting my memory.
IIRC, Esso used to give 1 point per $1 of instore purchases. Triple miles are offered on Supreme back in the day.. I believe this still maybe the case.
