I recently stayed there a few weeks ago, and am not sure that I would agree with others that the last renovation took place years ago. The room that I had seemed fine by modern Miami Beach standards (and thats really the key....unless you want to pay $300+, hotel rooms on Miami Beach are threadbare and usually poor in quality) and was up to your average Holiday Inn standards. The decor seemed to be a modern 2000's refresh, with an LCD tv and a good bathroom. A lot of times, the average rate for the room is $150 a night, which really isnt bad for Miami Beach. The key to this hotel is that its on the beach and near the Fontainebleu, and a short taxi ride to everything else. Parking is still $25 a night, but that goes for all hotels on South Beach, so nothing worth complaining about specifically in regards to this property.
