Use http://www.checkmytrip.com to see what seat assignments are there. CheckMyTrip displays your itin as it exists in Amadeus, which is the booking system that both AF/KL use. Whatever CMT says your seat is, that's your seat.
I don't mind if they are not synched as long as I get a better seat!

So I did the checkmytrip and the seat I was able to change (on an AF flight) on the KLM website shows up so I am confident its updated.

However niether the KLM website or CMT show my return (DL flight number, KLM metal) seat choice. I have sent a tweet to KLM and they said they will "look into it".

Seems like it should be a LOT easier than this!
