I recall AA advertising the nose cam being available on D10 flights back in the 70s (I forget whether it was TV or print ads).

To tell the truth, I'm not sure seeing the ground rushing at us on a screen would be worse than just being on a plane on takeoff that's now headed downhill rather than uphill. You have to figure you're doomed in any event.
