The Missus and I like 1A/K best, and 4E/F and 5E/F worst because there's almost no privacy. 2A/K are ok too but you can't hold a private conversation.

As has been stated, the ottoman seats in the 744 are useless especially in the window seats since NF's electric blinds take out another three inches of seat width. Row 1 ottomans are the worst, unless you are shaped like a Toblerone.

We quite regularly dine together despite the ottoman seating, and it's me who has to take the little seat.

The 777 ottoman space is much much better.

To be honest unless you are super chatty I'd take advantage of not being directly next to your other half, that way you can enjoy your own movie without being interrupted every five minutes by some random thing that floats into her head. Of course, YMMV...
