Hey fellow FTers... I need some advice:

Need to fly ATL-MEM-ATL the following weekend. I 'have' to go, not a choice, and yes, it's late to book (well, we're still 10 days away, but...)

Both our precious DL and AirTran want something in the neighborhood of $400 for a 300-mile r/t. While I can afford it, I think it's a bit of a preposterous price.

However, there are plenty of 25K award options that fit my schedule.

Should I just burn the miles? Not like the 1,000 MQMs that I'd lose are going to push me to DM status...

Thoughts? Thanks!
