I take it the LH ground staff aren't the friendliest? I was planning on heading to the lounge for assistance if/when I miss the connection. Anyone lounge better than another if your experiences?
I could be wrong on this but AFAIK lounge personnel at FRA (and many other EU airports) cannot help with rebookings (except perhaps the FCT/FCL - not sure there). As a US-based traveler I find this extremely strange, where the lounge/club staff are extremely helpful and are able to do this. Same concept, as it turns out, at check in. In the US check-in staff are able to do many things their EU counterparts cannot (e.g. change to an earlier flight if you arrive early) - in MUC at any rate I've been sent to the ticket counter for these activities (and then back to the checkin desk!

At any rate, you'll have to go to the transfer centre with the unwashed masses. Expect lines at FRA.
