This is all on a single Business class award. There are simply no premium seats available for the domestic flight.

What about at the airport? Can they add you to the upgrade list or assign an F/C seat?

When I've flown on AC metal on an aeroplan booking in a similar situation, they've seated me in a C seat at checkin if one is open.
