Assumed this is on one ticket. For international Business award, the domestic segment should be able to get a "premium seat" (F for 2 class, C for 3 class). This is my experience.
But the flight on the domestic segment might not avaiable, however. Just keep checking if "Z" is available on domestic segment, then you can call CS to help you "upgrade" the segment. But this can't be done as normal upgrade.
