I don't want to add more. I researched their site but can't determine if in OR out of the account (any activity) will work like UAL. Any advice to re-set the clock? Thank you very much!
The miles won't expire as the 7 year date on unredeemed miles is abolished with Aeroplan Distinction.

I think you maybe worried that after 1 year of account nonactivity, your miles will 'expire'. The miles will need be restored after one year of inactivity for a cost of 1 cent per mile.

Any activity whether a transfer/purchase of points, purchase, bonus sign ups, etc.. will extend the one year again, from the date of activity.

I would walk into Rexall.. buy something for a dollar, and swipe the AE card. That would constitute as account activity.
