They are essentially the very low quality ones you see in electronic stores. But if you forget your set (which I have) its an ok replacement on a short trip and better than spending $30 at one of the airport stores or kiosks.
That's exactly the point. I wouldn't be surprised if they just want to recoup their overall costs (not just the raw $0.10 material)
