I've never been given a suite either. I only get them when I either use points or an upgrade certificate. When I pay for a regular room, that's what I get, albeit, it always has a nice view.
Strict capacity at the hotel.. Very few bookable with the cert. Its the makeup of their format. Thus the connecting room concept.

I always get a great view etc! I am impressed with the new 3rd floor and the dining as well as the RC. Thats a good thing. Will be interesting to see the "new" rooms next trip over. This year for Xmas we are trying Paris ! Staying at our favorite PHV now that's a hotel.
Hopefully with the renos, the hotel opens more of these murphy bed concept rooms. That would help with vacancies. Help loyalty with long time Diamond Members as well.
