Now, to fly out 1st August 2014 and return 8th August is £6681 each way, which at 180k Avios and 241 is a great redemption.

I have 2 questions:

Availability showing with BA or JAL (code share?) which F is better. From videos I have seen, JAL looks better with Salon champagne and other touches. For a couple looking to relish the experience rather than get head down after dinner a la frequent flyer seen it all, would JAL be better?

2) for the ultimate lounge experience, can we easily spend some time in both Concorde room as well as F lounge? Will a JAL booking with BA flight number allow access to the above.

We are not huge boozers, but how much time should we allow in the lounge to really enjoy it? Couple of hours? Would like to sample some of the fine wines at least!!

Thanks, great forum.
Go with JL much better product. However for the lounge BA is better. Can't access CCR with JL as it is diff terminal
