That is what prompted my original question since it looks so strange-so cheap (relatively) for F fare on the two non stops versus any connection though MIA or LAX (which is what I saw on page 1 of the fares returned when searching JFK-LAS).
It is certainly a valid ticket but its probably priced as a JFK-MIA-LAS flight. LGA would be The LGA-LAS price your just connecting in ORD or DFW. It is certainly fine to book and everything its just explaining why those are so much money. When I look up MIA its always showing up as alot so I think that's what happening. FYI its over a 1,000 mile detour! That's a lot of wasted time up in the air in a market where there are so many non-stops and so many places to connect thru on the way. AA basically wants you to connect in ord or dfw not mia so its priced accordingly.
