That's more thought than I've ever put into it. I don't really notice much if any differences. As far as the design and construction of them, I don't know anything about it. The airplane limitations on taxi, takeoff, and landing on slimy surfaces are so conservative that it's pretty much a moot point as far as the friction coefficients of the different surfaces, and in fact, the 757/767 airplane limitations don't even address the subject. I can't remember if it's addressed in any other airplane limits.
