IF wheeled is an option, I use the Gate8 trifold wheeled and recommend it. It fits into the overhead of pretty much all airlines I've encountered. The gate8 folks have apparently released a "version 2" that fixes some of its initial v1 problems - but I won't know for sure till I see it. Either way, I love it - its the only bag I know that lets me pack in 5 days worth of stuff without creasing, is wheeled and still fits right into overheads.
