MWK, this isn't anecdotal.. I've rented using another code with free included additional drivers and added an additional non-related driver with no questions asked and no additional charges. Plus, it is a line item in the contract, they have to honor it. I'm not sure why you are so suspicious of this?

Abhi, you need to add any additional drivers who don't meet the Emerald Club program rules for free additional drivers. They will need to present a drivers license and go to the counter. There is no way for them to really police who is driving the car, but if you get pulled over or in an accident with a non-authorized driver behind the wheel, it is bad news bears. I am not a lawyer so I don't want to go spewing potential false exaggerated claims of potential consequences, but I will say that it is not a risk I would be willing to accept.
