Just a call usually. Recently I purchased 4, then as gold, for MIA-ORD, then at hotel computer getting BP, question came up, "Did I want to upgrade to F for XX$?"

Did the math, answered yes, Still deducted the four.
Curious kind of upgrade I had not seen before, showed up as Y for miles, no difference of course.
