I travel a lot. I get to Platinum just traveling for work each year, but this year my projects were local. I have started traveling again, so next year will be heavy travel. Don't want to travel with lower status.

Does anybody know whether it is possible to talk United out to extend my Platinum status? Will status match challenge work?
