You mean UR to United transfer...
Yes, transfer the UR. However, call AA first. They may be able to find something on EY (Etihad) as the other poster notes, which would reduce those fees. They also may have something on Jet Airways (9W). Whatever you do, book soon. Since this is almost a mandatory trip, you don't want to lose the award seats because someone else booked them.
