Would anyone care to recommend one or the other? The tripadvisor reviews are about equal for both...

Thanks!

the key to me is a TWO night stay; just because of that I would go to the Suites

Unless you have airport related business or desires to hang out on airport grounds, there is a big price differential, have a very early departure on your last morning, or want an outdoor pool then there is no reason to be at the airport. Within a 20-minutes walk, you have the airport, the airport offices, and car rental places, thats it.. nothing else.. oh yeah and a gas station.

Most people are spot on but the pool at the Suites is one of those half outdoor half indoor pools on the 2nd floor. It's not big, nor is it nice and getting sun is not always easy with the building shadows taking over. the Airport pool is your traditional outdoor pool enclosed by the hotel on all sides which keeps wind off of you which will be nice in September, also the building is not high enough to really block the sun.

Lounge at the airport one is avg at best, not bad but avg, the rooms are definitely dated.

parking is free at both.. you do get the free airport toll road access both ways at the airport property

the suites has a TGIF connected, a chinese restaurant, another generic american restaurant connected, a movie theater, a health club that used to be free for guests but now you have to fork out at least $10, could be more now, parking is easy if you park underground, there is an elevator to the lobby, bigger rooms but no CL. There is also a fast food joint across Elden street (the main street), a Giant food store a block away, A McD's near the Giant, a Wells Fargo bank near McD's.. so there is way more to do within walking distance here
