I have been United Plat for past 2 years, but it's under jeopardy this year.

Due to some circumstances, I am "just" Silver (25k miles, 25 segments) for next year so far. I have < 4 months. I know that I will be traveling to Miami from DC till the end of the year (no other travels plan -- with I did 1 international this year). Will be off 2-3 weeks (vacation time).

I see that I can fly via ORD to Mia to get 1700 miles one way and return will be from EWR to get 1200 miles. So, max I can do 3000 miles a week. So 10 return trips will take me to 30k. Any tip to get more United miles here?

I will still be ~20k short of Plat. What should be my play to maximize my chance to be Plat for next year? I can't imagine loosing my Plat, as I and my family travel using my status, and I love my privilege. Advise please!
