[b]3 reasons I can think of to take AC headphones: ]/b]</font>
a. They are good to take on carriers like WestJet and Tango who dont give you free headphones.

Last time I checked WestJet didn't have IFE (except for the lovely Fisch standing there and looking glam )

b. They are good to keep if they have the removable 2 prong connector because they can be used as aircraft headphones and also as regular headphones

They haven't had the removeable prongs for a very long time.

c. The 3 prong jack (if removable) is good to have so you can use your noise cancelling headphones on the plane.

Same as above but NC headphones usually come with the adaptor and you can buy them at Radio Shack if you need one.
