I was conditionally approved and called in to the CSR who asked me if I was the owner of the Department of XXXX. I said no, I wish, just a lowely public servant who wants to use the card to keep my work expenses separate from my personal cards. He didn't ask anymore questions and approved the application.

Yeah, I am wondering if I should just call in and get it over with. This happened to me with my SPG Amex where I waited and waited after being conditionally approved online, and then called in and it was just approved over the phone after verifying some lame info.
edit: Just called CSR and found out that my application was approved this morning. Same sort of thing as happened with my SPG. Oh well - looks like this was not a problem, so all good in the land of Amex again!
