TRAVELSIG, why don't you like BRU? I agree it's far from extraordinary but you seem very negative?
Thanks for asking:
1. Very long walk to/from Schengen gates.
2. Typically long Security lines.
3. Moving walkways which seem to be out of order.
4. Rental Car Facilities in parking garage (think of Hertz) which are difficult to get in and out of.
5. Poor signage in/around the airport.
6. Terrible road connections (almost always a traffic jam).
7. Boarding Pass Scanner for the little gate for priority security that seems not to work for 1 out of 3 people.
8. Not a great train service (old non air conditioned trains) that go to/from the airport.
9. Flight times which seem optimized for people who can finish work by 14:00 and be at the airport by 15:00- otherwise I end up transferring through FRA and getting home around midnight.
10. Very expensive airport to fly from/to- even with advance booking my economy tickets to BRU are some of the very most expensive tickets (shorthaul) I buy.
Just a few reasons.....
