For ticketing purposes, you are actually interested in booking RDU-TLV-GRU. GRU and RDU are in different "zones" -- but Delta is one of the few airlines that actually allows you to open jaw between zones, so that's not an issue.

Based on computed distances, your open jaw between RDU and SAO is actually the shortest of the three legs, so that condition is satisfied also. However, bear in mind that OFFICIALLY you are allowed 1 open jaw OR 1 stopover; in practice it's pretty easy to have both.

Now the next thing you have to pay attention to is MPM. the Maximum Permitted Mileage between TLV and SAO is 8734. You should be able to exceed it by a bit (say 5-10% but again that's an unpublished benefit). Your return flight needs to total less than 8734 miles (plus or minus). TLV-JFK-RDU-GRU is of course not a real routing since there are no direct flights between RDU and GRU. However, MPM isn't an issue here, as constructed (and with a TPM deduction) it comes to 8012mi, which is below your MPM.

Also, you cannot transit the same airport twice in the same direction (i.e. you cannot fly TLV-JFK-RDU-JFK-GRU because you've transited JFK twice on your "way back"), so you will need to consider that in your route construction. You could fly something like TLV-JFK-RDU <stopover> RDU-ATL-GRU.

That has a total TPM (ticketed point mileage) of 8250 -- definitely under your MPM of 8734.

Hope you learned something the much bigger challenge here is finding award space, though.
