Marriott IAD:- You're @ IAD
- Parking is free
- Has a Concierge Lounge
- Rooms and furnishings have an older feel
- Restaurant/bar is ok
- Easy & no-toll access justification
- Some of the rooms are ways away from the front desk & CL (long walk)
- Indoor and (at this time of year) outdoor pool
- Best view out of your window is of "Lake Dulles"
Dulles Marriott Suites:- Not @ IAD (but close)
- Parking is free if you can find it
- No CL
- Furnishings are newer/nicer
- Restaurant/bar is ok
- More challenging to avoid tolls
- Multiple options for food and entertainment by going down and walking around the corner + easy access to groceries/shopping
- Also has indoor and outdoor pool options
- Higher/taller building may have some views (but mostly of tops of neighboring buildings)
For me at least, generally much more expensive @ the Suites vs. the Marriott IAD in terms of room rates. Even on weekends. If you've got family/younger kids, Marriott IAD may be easier with its CL. Dulles Suites has more of a stuffier business feel.
