Good catch in realizing my 1500 aqm choice related directly to the early recognition cutoff. I had forgotten to mention that in my post. Losing the 3500 difference hurts slightly, but better safe than sorry. My sister and I are traveling during the holidays, and I'd rather have the e upgrade credits and the extra window for that opportunity.

BTW, the threshold gift link was active immediately on my Altitude dashboard as soon as the miles posted. It took 3 days to post, but that was due to crossing the date line. Otherwise, would have been 2.
