IC New York The Barclay

Were you (or for multi-stayers are you generally) happy with the hotel/stay?
Extremely

Which room did you book and which upgrade did you receive?
Booked a standard room for two nights (on Labor Day weekend) using the weekend BOGO voucher. Got upgraded to a beautiful suite with a nice view from the 10th floor.

How are the rooms?
The suite was mainly divided into two rooms (each about the size of a typical NYC hotel room). The living room was great and could comfortably seat six people. The bedroom had a king bed with lots of open space for luggage and ironing boards. The bathroom seemed a little bit on the small side, perhaps only because the other rooms were so large (it was still perfectly functional and had one of the best showers that I have ever used).

How is the exec. lounge?
No lounge.

Did you receive a welcome gift?
No gifts, no fruits, no waters.

How was the minibar?
Grade A. Coronas, Heinekens, top-shelf booze and outstanding wine. They were even very cooperative in having it restocked as-needed.

What was good and what was bad?

-Good

          -Bad

Value for $ or Priority Club Points?
Considering I paid a total of $300 for two nights in NYC on Labor Day weekend, you bet it is.

              Would you return?
If I had to pay the full-rate, it would be a tough call, but I probably would based on this experience.
