Question Transit visa required in this case?

I am trying to book an award ticket for a friend to fly from MSO to LCA on DL. The current situation (time of year and availability with other airlines) results in her having to fly MSO-SLC-JFK-SVO-LCA and return. The flight arrives in SVO at 9:55 and the flight (Aeroflot) to LCA departs at 11:25. Does she need any kind of transit visa to just change planes in SVO? I don't know which terminals each of the flights arrives and departs out of.

On the return, her flight from LCA to SVO on Aeroflot arrives at 00:05 and the flight that departs for JFK leaves at 11:40, so I am suggesting she stay in the capsule hotel (transit hotel). Will she need a transit visa for this?

If transit visas are needed, how long do they take to get them, do you get them before you leave for Russia, how much do they cost?

It appears that the DL flight arrives in Terminal D and the flight to LCA departs out of Terminal D so this should be a simple transit with no visa required. But on the return the flight from LCA arrives in Terminal C and the flight to the US departs from terminal D. So is there an air-side bus from Terminal C to Terminal D or E and would my friend be able to get between Terminal E and D all remaining airside?

Any questions I didn't ask?
