I reach 100K easily. But cannot reach 200K. I find the threshold gifts at 150K are not worth my bother. So, human nature I suppose, after I reach 100K each year, I start to run out of steam for AC and Star Alliance and choose other carriers more often, even for slightly better convience of schedule or cost.

I find myself highly motivated and incentivized to choose AC up to 100K and then, suddenly, not so much at all.

Threshold gifts are a great incentive and a good business development program by AC, but they could be used more powerfully to extract incremental business from 100K flyers like myself who would stay on track to 135K, 150K, maybe even 175K if better incentivized to do so.
