Being young and in jeans has certainly never helped me. I've rarely had a problem with it, but I can't say "never".
Standing in the priority check-in line for 10 minutes as they continued to serve the regular line, I finally asked if I was going to get some service.
AC agent's response: "That line is for business class passengers."
I got a 10% code out of that experience, but it's not something I'd like to repeat.
That being said, I'm going to continue to wear jeans when I fly, and I can't do anything about my age.
I have never had a problem on a flight though. I've found AC SDs and FAs to be pretty damn good.
