Lots of reasons to stay loyal were mentioned earlier in the thread. Hawaiian's business plan is to serve the local market as well as bring visitors to Hawaii. That's why you see the local market, being able to avail of the elite benefits more often. I'm sure there are mainland business travelers that use HAL, but they're definitely not the core customer, as they are at the rest of the US carriers.
