I have the same issue, except I'm going to the Park Hyatt before the Conrad Hilton. (5 nights PH, 7 nights CH).

I am concerned about having one less real day at the PH, (4 regular nights plus a 2:30 AM arrival, assuming I don't have to overnight; down from 5 nights). Given that I'm paying almost $1000 for two to go to the PH for the transfer from Male, I felt bad about losing the day.

SQ wasn't willing to change - it's a USAIR redemption. I found an alternative, routing LAX-HKG-KUL (on CX) and then KUL-MLE on MH. This would get me in at 2:30 AM on my regular scheduled arrival day (and I would spend another 22k Gold passport points for the room but I'd need a room no matter where I was).

Unfortunately, it's another 60k AA miles for two of us (60k each way, vs.
60k for the USAIR award). If I went that route (give up SQ sweetheart redemption on USAIR) I would be able to simplify my return by flying non-stop MLE-HKG.

Wish I could just get SQ to give me a day earlier (I arrive in SIN in time).

I'm conflicted, so if folks want to offer up an opinion on;

1) Cut back on the PH stay to arrive at 2am the next day instead of 2pm (with the costs not going down) or
2) Spend the extra 60k to keep the time at PH and get a better return (MLE-HKG-LAX) instead of (MLE-SIN-HKG-LAX)

I'd be interested in what folks have to say (I do have plenty of AA miles).
